Julia Schafermeyer and Chuck Franks will be presenting on how the term and conceptualizing "sex addiction" is harming clients. How it limits our work as clinicians and does damage to clients and their families. They both attended ASSECT's Summer Institute which was 4 days of concentrated focus on this topic. We will be presenting how to move past labeling clients as addicts in order to help them heal and be liberated from the pathological view of sex from the moral, medical and media influences. 

They will present a sexual health model that respects individual expressions of sexuality.
